Perris Crusades
Personal Note from Read more          Dave Stewart
For me to go on a “mission” the word mission is not strong enough, to do evangelism is too weak and even sounds temporary. Example (lets go do some evangelizing) what were you doing before that? So I like to use crusade, it ‘s more like an on going way of life that never stops.

Crusade Continued

For most people, engaging naturally in evangelism will take a paradigm shift in the way they think.  So we will show you later (in the course), how to see that we don't just "do" crusade, but that life is a crusade.

Evangelism is about sharing Jesus as a habit—like drinking coffee in the morning. What if communicating the love of Christ was that natural—like turning the coffeemaker on? Imagine the people of the church coming together and rejoicing because we can share Christ—rather than saying, "Do we have to do this?" We get burned out on the doing when the reality is that evangelism is all about being and living it.

So I would like to introduce, a program that allows those who have difficulty in reaching out and talking to people a more natural, and sincere approach to getting the gospel out. And possibly, give old timers at this, a new perspective.

Be inspired by Acts 11:20-21: "Some of them, however, men from Cyprus and Cyrene, went to Antioch and began to speak to Greeks also, telling them the good news about the Lord Jesus. The Lord's hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord" (NIV).

As we look close to these teachings we realizes that they were able to go out and also share the good news. But in what manner? They always spoke of the law first and then the good news, and always those who were convicted by their own conscience, as they understood and believed.

So here at Greater Light Community Church we teach this method.

This method in its principle format is called "THE WAY OF THE MASTER". You learn how to speak to people in a way that is more approachable and exciting, and shows your true concern for the unsaved, and you just want to let then know.

Imagine what kind of fresh vision is waiting for you, if you ask God to break your thinking, to break your way of doing things? Open up a whole new joy and excitement in doing
The Way of the Master.

Prayer:

God in heaven, break us from mind-sets that are old and stale. Break us from traditions that are repetitious and  meaningless. Break us from barriers that we've created to those who are not yet Christians. We ask You this in faith, believing that You will stir us up as You stirred the early Church. As we re-vitalize that same method used by the Masters before us. Amen.

In Acts 1:8 Jesus says, "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses" (NIV). The power to witness comes from Jesus in you. You just need to be you and look for God-given opportunities. Jesus was with sinners—tax collectors, a prostitute, a woman caught in adultery. The relentless pursuit to be where sinners are and to love them no matter what, like Jesus did—that's the kind of lifestyle that needs to be in our enthusiasm.

Witnessing starts with common ground. Jesus didn't ask people to come to Him; He went to where they were. And the Apostle Paul, in his strategy, also went to where people were. He went to the synagogue, to the marketplace and to where people were congregating.

People always say that they don't have the time in their busy schedules, but I say with the
Way of the Master, you do what you already love to do!

What are you already involved in? What excites you? What are you passionate about? Do those things for the glory of God by finding people who also like those things and then share the WAY of the Master with them. This makes what is enjoyable to you even more fun.

Common ground leads to conversation, and conversation leads to connection. You can show people you care about them,  and share the message of our Lord so that ultimately they might Know him also.

Wow! It gets even better, what if I told you that the next time you went out to an event that people would actually ask you for a tract. That these kind of opportunities actually can happen with just a little effort using new and unique tracts from the way of the master program.

Go with your church to the mall and have the most fun you ever had ministering, and talk to people.

Teen car washes, talking to the people as they wait for their car.

Standing in line at the movies, supermarket or at the bank. These tracts used with the method we teach opens up limitless possibilities.
